We are looking for
an enthusiastic Ph.D. holder for a postdoctoral position in our CFD lab.
The main research direction is the development of the next genereation CFD code.
It has been shown that a proper
discretization method, combined with a good numerical method, can speed up flow
computations by 10 - 27 times [1,2].
Our recent works hinted that this factor
can be increased to a hundred and probably a couple of hundred.
The code will
be primarily implemented on MGLET[3] of KM-Turbulenz and
Hydromechanic department of TU-Munich, our close
collaborators.
Tasks
- Develop numerical method for Navier-Stokes
equations in massively parallel HPC and GPU.
- Apply simulation techniques to help solve industry's oriented problems
- Teach 1 - 2 courses at under- and graduate
levels.
- Involvement in ongoing international projects at our
lab.
Requirement
- A can-do attitude and verbissen personality.
- Strong background in heat&mass transfer and fluid
mechanics
- Versatile in numerical methods, Fortran, Python and MPI.
- 2-Scopus-indexed publications in the
past 5 years
- 1-year experience working with the industry (as an engineer
in an industry or as a consultant or as a project partner)
Benefits
- Basic monthly salary 41,000 THB (~1,200 USD)
- 5% co-saving fund
- Health insurance, and flexible health insurance for children and immediate family members
